Description:
A flexible and conformable tubular braided fabric.
Applications:
FlexiBraid can by used in many applications ranging from protective outer sheaths on pipes, tapes and cables, to use in composite manufacture to give specifically orientated properties. The tube can even be used as a flat tape with the yarns orientated in the desired direction.
Standard Products:
  • FBA/2300/glass - a 2300g/sq. m. tubular glass fabric that can vary in lay flat width from 10mm to 55mm (approx).
  • FBA/2900/glass - a 2900g/sq. m. tubular glass fabric that can vary in lay flat width from 20mm to 80mm (approx).
Options:
  • Different yarns can be used either independently or in conjunction with other yarns to create a braid. We offer two ways of achieving this.
    • Style A : One single yarn type used.
    • Style B : Two or more yarn types arranged in the braid.
  • Wrapping : FlexiBraid can be manufactured around other yarns or other products including customer's products. It is possible to braid arround flexible and rigid shapes such as tubes and tapes.
  • Warps : Longtitudinal 'warp' yarns can be incorporated within the structure to improve lengthways strength and reduce extension.
