Main Properites:

  • Virtually all of the strength is in the 0 degree plane and as such a component can be built with reinforcement exactly where it is needed

Description:
A high density, non crimp, fray proof, non-stretch, unidirectional glass tape that is easy to handle and process.
Applications:
UniTape Glass can be used in any application where it is beneficial to use a fabric that has all of it's strength in the 0 degrees (lengthways) direction. UniTape Glass is particulaly useful for constructing strut or spar components by either RTM (Resin Transfer Moulding) or pultrusion moulding. Powder bonded UniTape Glass is commonly used to manufacture preforms prior to RTM moulding.
Standard Products:
  • UTG/1000/74 - 74mm wide, 1000g/sq. m.
  • UTG/1000/74/PB - As above plus powder binder applied at 0.8% by weight.
  • UTG/1400/115 - 115mm wide, 1400g/sq. m.
  • UTG/1400/115/PB - As above plus powder binder applied at 0.8% by weight.
